Ryan McAssey, President of Vortex Helicopters Inc.
Our owner and pilot, Ryan McAssey, grew up in Northern Alberta. With more than 25 years of experience in the Alberta oil sands, he is knowledgeable in environmental/oil field support, aerial surveying, power line work, seismic operations, reforestation, precision long-lining, firefighting, photography, infrared scanning, and global positioning system (GPS) mapping.
Because of our work in Vortex Oil Sands Contracting Inc., (lease building for oil sands exploration companies) Ryan has experienced both ground and air terrain and is familiar with the oil field activity across Wabasca, Fort McMurray, and Cold Lake. This experience is passed on to our piloting staff.
